Material & Care Guide

Our products are designed with longevity in mind. Each piece is crafted from high-quality materials selected for their durability, performance and refined appearance, allowing them to perform across a range of environments while maintaining a timeless aesthetic.

____________

Powder Coated Aluminium

Aluminium is a premium material prized for its complete resistance to rusting and is favoured for its capacity to create pieces with refined detail. Lightweight yet strong, powder coated aluminium performs exceptionally well in both indoor and outdoor settings. It is valued for its durability, weather resistance and low maintenance requirements, making it a dependable material for everyday use in both residential and commercial settings.

Care & Maintenance

For everyday care, wipe surfaces with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. When required, clean using a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent. Remove environmental residue such as dirt, mineral deposits or organic matter. These should not be allowed to accumulate or dry on the surface. After cleaning, rinse with clean water if necessary and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh detergents or cleaning products containing chlorine, as these may damage the finish. Strong solvents such as turpentine, thinners, white spirits, citrus-based cleaners and other aggressive chemicals should not be used. Avoid direct contact with insect repellents as they can react with powder coated finishes.

Care should be taken to avoid scratching the surface. Do not drag hard objects such as ceramics, pottery or tableware across the surface. Pressure washing, steel wool and abrasive pads should also be avoided.

____________

Powder Coated Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel is an extremely strong material. Unlike steel, stainless steel is resistant to rust. Our Electrophoresis process (or E-coating) deposits a layer of resin onto the Stainless Steel for an extra layer of protection against the elements. Heavy and sturdy, powder coated stainless steel is able to be used indoors and out. Known for its durability, resistance to the elements and low maintenance requirements, it offers a dependable solution for both residential and commercial applications.

____________

Solid Oak & Oak Veneer

Our timber pieces are crafted from solid oak and oak veneer, selected for their strength, stability and distinctive natural grain. Each piece is finished with a durable polyurethane coating that protects the surface while allowing the character of the timber to remain visible. As a natural material, oak will subtly respond to its environment and develop character over time.

Care & Maintenance

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For general cleaning, wipe gently with a soft cloth lightly dampened in lukewarm water, always following the direction of the wood grain, and dry immediately afterwards.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool, steam cleaning and harsh chemicals including turpentine, white spirits, thinners, citrus-based cleaners or other solvents, as these may damage the finish. Spills should be cleaned promptly and the furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight or exposed to excessive heat or humidity, as this may affect the timber over time.

____________

Fabric

Our cushions and upholstered pieces use carefully selected textiles designed to perform in everyday settings while maintaining their texture, colour and overall character over time.

Care & Maintenance

Remove dust and debris regularly using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.

Spills should be addressed promptly by blotting with a clean, absorbent cloth — avoid rubbing, as this may damage the fibres. Loose particles can be vacuumed before cleaning. Oil-based spills may first be treated with an absorbent material such as corn starch to draw out excess oil before cleaning.

Avoid steam cleaning, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these may damage the fabric or distort internal cushioning. Do not cover or store while damp, as this may lead to mould or mildew.

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat may cause fading over time.

Sharp objects should also be avoided, as they may damage the textile surface.

To prolong the life of the outdoor fabrics, remove organic debris such as food, bird droppings, leaves or fruit promptly, as these can stain or degrade fibres over time. When possible, store cushions in a sheltered area or use protective covers when not in use, ensuring the fabric is completely dry beforehand.

For general cleaning of outdoor fabrics, use a mild solution of soap and lukewarm water, gently wiping with a soft cloth or sponge before rinsing with clean water and allowing the fabric to air dry.
